- 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup coconut oil or butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Set your oven to 350°F (180°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking the cookies.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, whole wheat or oat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt, whisking them together until evenly distributed.
- Add wet ingredients: Stir in the honey or maple syrup, melted coconut oil or butter, egg, and vanilla extract into the dry mixture until a uniform dough forms.
- Form cookies: Scoop the dough onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper, spacing them evenly to allow for spreading.
- Bake: Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cookies turn lightly golden around the edges.
- Cool: Remove the cookies from the oven and transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
