Description

These Spicy Ramen Noodles are a quick and fiery meal that’s perfect for anyone craving bold, comforting flavors. Ready in just 15 minutes, this recipe uses simple ingredients to create a deliciously satisfying dish, ideal as a quick lunch or dinner. Customize with protein like tofu or chicken and easily adjust the spice level to your preference.

Ingredients

Ramen Noodles

  • 2 packs instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)

Sauce & Seasoning

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce or sriracha
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Extras

  • 1 egg (optional)
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles: Prepare the instant ramen noodles according to the package instructions, but do not use the seasoning packets. Drain well and set aside to prevent sogginess.
  2. Sauté garlic: Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned, to build a flavorful base.
  3. Add sauces: Stir in the soy sauce and chili garlic sauce or sriracha, mixing well to combine all the flavors in the skillet.
  4. Toss noodles: Add the drained noodles to the skillet and toss thoroughly to coat them evenly with the spicy sauce mixture.
  5. Cook the egg (optional): Crack the egg directly into the skillet and stir rapidly to scramble it throughout the noodles until it’s fully cooked and incorporated.
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • For added protein, include cubed tofu or shredded cooked chicken in step 4.
  • Adjust the level of spiciness by adding more or less chili garlic sauce or substituting with chili oil.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the egg or use a plant-based egg substitute.
  • You can add vegetables such as bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition and color.
