Description

Oven-Baked Cinnamon Pretzels are a sweet and crunchy snack featuring mini pretzels coated in a buttery cinnamon-sugar mixture. This easy-to-make recipe uses simple ingredients and results in a deliciously flavored treat perfect for parties, movie nights, or a quick homemade snack.

Ingredients

Snack Base

  • 6 cups mini pretzels

Coating

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Cinnamon-Sugar Mix

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) to prepare for baking the pretzels.
  2. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate even baking.
  3. Mix Butter and Vanilla: In a large bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter and vanilla extract, creating the base for coating the pretzels.
  4. Coat Pretzels: Add the mini pretzels to the butter mixture and toss thoroughly to ensure each pretzel is evenly coated.
  5. Combine Cinnamon-Sugar: In a separate small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt to create the cinnamon-sugar coating.
  6. Toss Pretzels in Cinnamon-Sugar: Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the butter-coated pretzels and toss again until the pretzels are well coated with the mixture.
  7. Spread on Baking Sheet: Spread the coated pretzels out evenly on the prepared baking sheet to allow for even baking.
  8. Bake: Bake the pretzels in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, stirring once halfway through to ensure even cinnamon-sugar coating and browning.
  9. Cool: Remove the pretzels from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet before serving to allow the coating to set.

Notes

  • Store the pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
