Description
Juicy Beef Kafta Kabobs are flavorful Middle Eastern-style skewers made with seasoned ground beef, fresh herbs, and aromatic spices, grilled to tender perfection with a smoky char.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- ¼ cup onion, grated and drained
- 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the ground beef, grated and drained onion, chopped parsley, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Mix until the ingredients are evenly incorporated but avoid overworking the meat to keep the texture tender.
- Shape onto Skewers: Wet your hands slightly and shape the beef mixture around metal or soaked wooden skewers into elongated sausage-like shapes, ensuring they are compact and evenly formed for even cooking.
- Grill Kabobs: Preheat the grill to medium heat. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure all sides develop a nice char and the beef is cooked through but juicy inside.
Notes
- Chill the meat mixture for 30 minutes before shaping to make it easier to handle and form on the skewers.
- These kabobs are delicious served with warm pita bread, fresh salad, or a cooling yogurt sauce like tzatziki.
