Description

Crispy baked chicken wings coated in a delicious sweet and spicy hot honey glaze, perfect for a finger-licking appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Chicken Wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil

Hot Honey Glaze

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1–2 tbsp hot sauce
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Wings: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels, season generously with salt and pepper, then toss them in 2 tablespoons of oil to coat evenly.
  2. Bake the Wings: Arrange the wings on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.
  3. Make the Hot Honey Glaze: While the wings bake, gently warm the honey in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of hot sauce and the optional ½ teaspoon of chili flakes until combined and warm.
  4. Toss Wings in Glaze: Once the wings are done baking, transfer them to a large bowl, pour the hot honey glaze over them, and toss well to coat evenly.
  5. Serve: Serve the glazed wings immediately while hot, perfect for sharing or enjoying as a spicy-sweet snack.

Notes

  • If you prefer less heat, start with 1 tablespoon of hot sauce and omit chili flakes.
  • For extra crispy wings, place them on a wire rack over the baking sheet to allow air circulation.
  • Adjust sweetness or heat in the glaze by varying honey and hot sauce ratios to your taste.
  • Serve with celery sticks and a dip like ranch or blue cheese for a classic pairing.
