Description

Hot Chocolate Lasagna is a decadent, layered no-bake dessert featuring a chocolate cookie crust, a creamy and sweet chocolate cream cheese filling, a rich chocolate pudding layer, and fluffy whipped topping. It’s perfect for chocolate lovers seeking an easy, indulgent treat that can be made ahead and chilled.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 24 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted

Filling

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups whipped topping

Pudding Layer

  • 1 package chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Mix the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies with the melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form an even crust layer. Place the dish in the refrigerator to chill and set.
  2. Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped topping until combined, being careful not to deflate the mixture.
  3. Assemble First Layers: Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the chilled cookie crust, creating a smooth layer.
  4. Prepare & Add Pudding Layer: Whisk the chocolate pudding mix with the milk according to package instructions until thickened. Spread the pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate the assembled dessert for at least 4 hours to allow the layers to set and flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

  • Garnish with marshmallows, chocolate shavings, or a dusting of cocoa powder for added presentation and flavor.
  • For a richer flavor, use homemade chocolate pudding instead of instant mix if preferred.
  • Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the filling layer.
