Description
Stuffed Mushrooms are savory, bite-sized appetizers featuring large button mushrooms filled with a rich mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, cream cheese, herbs, and garlic. Baked until golden and tender, they make an ideal flavorful party snack or starter.

- 20 large button mushrooms
Filling
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the mushrooms evenly.
- Prepare Mushrooms: Remove the stems from the mushrooms and finely chop the stems to use in the filling.
- Sauté Filling Base: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the chopped mushroom stems and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
- Mix Filling: Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Stuff Mushrooms: Spoon the prepared mixture generously into each mushroom cap, filling them completely.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased to prevent sticking.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown on top.
- Serve Warm: Remove from oven and serve the stuffed mushrooms warm as a delicious appetizer or party snack.
Notes
- You can add cooked sausage or crab meat to the filling for a heartier version.
- Panko breadcrumbs can be used instead of regular breadcrumbs to achieve a crispier texture.
