Description

A refreshing and vibrant mojito cocktail made with fresh blueberries, fragrant mint leaves, zesty lime juice, smooth white rum, and bubbly sparkling water. Perfectly balanced with sweetness and citrus, this cocktail is ideal for warm weather get-togethers and summer evenings.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 8–10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 30 ml fresh lime juice
  • 60 ml white rum
  • Ice, as needed
  • 120 ml sparkling water

For Garnish

  • Lime wedges
  • Fresh blueberries
  • Fresh mint sprigs

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the fresh blueberries, mint leaves, granulated sugar, and fresh lime juice into a sturdy glass.
  2. Muddle: Gently muddle the mixture using a muddler or the back of a spoon until the blueberries release their juices and the mint leaves become fragrant, blending the flavors together.
  3. Add Ice: Fill the glass generously with ice to chill and dilute the cocktail appropriately.
  4. Add Rum and Stir: Pour in the white rum and stir the mixture well to combine all ingredients uniformly.
  5. Top with Sparkling Water: Carefully top the glass with sparkling water to add effervescence and a light finish.
  6. Final Stir: Stir gently once more to mix the sparkling water without losing its bubbles.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the cocktail with lime wedges, extra fresh blueberries, and a sprig of mint for an inviting presentation and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ripe, fresh blueberries for the best flavor impact and vibrant color.
  • Adjust the granulated sugar depending on the sweetness of your blueberries or your personal preference.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace the white rum with extra sparkling water or a splash of blueberry juice.
