Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 2 pears, peeled and chopped
- 2 potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon butter or oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Sauté Onion: Heat butter or oil in a pot over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until it becomes soft and translucent, about 5 minutes, to release its flavors.
- Add Pears and Potatoes: Add the peeled and chopped pears and potatoes to the pot, stirring to combine with the sautéed onions.
- Simmer: Pour in the vegetable broth, bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the pears and potatoes are tender, approximately 15 minutes.
- Blend Soup: Remove the pot from heat and use an immersion blender or transfer the contents to a blender to blend until smooth and creamy.
- Season and Serve: Return soup to pot if needed, season with salt and black pepper to taste, reheat gently if necessary, and serve the soup warm.
Notes
- Use ripe pears for the best natural sweetness and flavor.
