Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners to prepare for baking.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and thoroughly blended.
- Combine Wet and Dry: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined; avoid overmixing to keep the muffins tender.
- Fold in Chocolate Chips: Carefully fold the chocolate chips into the batter ensuring even distribution without overmixing.
- Fill Muffin Cups: Spoon the batter into the muffin cups filling each about ¾ full to allow for rising during baking.
- Bake Muffins: Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes or until the tops are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool Muffins: Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
