Description
Crispy Buffalo Chicken Tenders are crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and tossed in bold, spicy buffalo sauce, making them a perfect appetizer or dinner option that’s easy to make and full of flavor.
Ingredients
Chicken
- 1½ lbs chicken tenders
Breading
- 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
- ½ cup flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Sauce
- ½ cup buffalo sauce
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure it reaches the proper temperature for crisp baking.
- Prepare the Breading Mixture: In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs or panko with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. This mixture will provide seasoning and crunch for the chicken tenders.
- Coat the Chicken: Dredge each chicken tender first in the flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture to ensure a crispy outside once baked.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the breaded chicken tenders onto a greased baking sheet, spacing them out evenly to allow air circulation for crispiness.
- Bake the Tenders: Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes. Halfway through baking, flip the tenders to brown both sides evenly and cook through.
- Toss in Buffalo Sauce: While the tenders are still warm, toss them in a bowl with the buffalo sauce combined with melted butter. This adds the signature spicy and buttery flavor.
Notes
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
- Use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs for an extra crispy texture.
- Make sure to flip the tenders halfway through baking to get an even crisp on both sides.
- Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce to your preferred spice level.
