Description

Creamy Steak Pasta Skillet is a rich and satisfying one-pan dinner featuring tender sirloin steak bites combined with perfectly cooked pasta and enveloped in a velvety, flavorful cream sauce.

Ingredients

Steak and Seasoning

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

Pasta

  • 8 oz penne or rotini pasta

Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Other

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Prepare the pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside to be added later with the sauce and steak.
  2. Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the sirloin steak pieces with salt and pepper, then sear them in the skillet for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, taking care not to burn it.
  4. Make the Cream Sauce: Stir in the heavy cream, beef broth, and Italian seasoning, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 3–4 minutes to meld the flavors and slightly thicken the sauce.
  5. Add Parmesan Cheese: Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese to the cream sauce, stirring continuously until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Combine and Heat Through: Return the seared steak pieces and cooked pasta back into the skillet. Toss everything gently to coat with the creamy sauce and heat through evenly before serving.

Notes

  • Add fresh spinach to the skillet towards the end of cooking for extra color and nutrition.
  • For extra tenderness and rich flavor, substitute the sirloin steak with ribeye.
