Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add-ins
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan thoroughly to prevent sticking during baking.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to evenly distribute the leavening agents and seasoning.
- Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the milk, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
- Mix wet and dry: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined; avoid overmixing to ensure a tender bread texture.
- Fold in chocolate chips: Carefully fold in the chocolate chips to distribute them evenly throughout the batter.
- Pour and bake: Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan, smoothing the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve once cooled.
Notes
- Use mini chocolate chips for better distribution throughout the bread.
- For a more indulgent top, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top of the batter before baking.
