Description
Cheat’s Lasagne Stack offers a quick and fun twist on traditional lasagne by layering pasta sheets, meat sauce, and cheese into individual stacks for an easy, delicious dinner. Perfect for those wanting classic flavors without the long cooking time.
Ingredients
Lasagne Base
- 8 lasagne sheets, cooked
Meat Sauce
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Cheese Layer
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the lasagne stacks.
- Cook Meat and Onion: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any excess grease to keep the sauce lean.
- Add Garlic and Sauce: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then add the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, simmering gently for 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Assemble Stacks: On a baking tray, place a cooked lasagne sheet. Spoon a portion of meat sauce over it, add a dollop of ricotta cheese, and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella. Repeat these layers 2 to 3 times to build stacks.
- Top with Parmesan: Finish each stack with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese to add a rich, savory crust during baking.
- Bake: Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15–20 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden.
- Serve: Allow the lasagne stacks to cool slightly before serving to let the layers set for easier handling and better flavor.
Notes
- Using fresh pasta sheets can make stacking and layering easier and more tender.
- For added nutrition and flavor, add fresh spinach between the layers.
- Ensure to drain excess grease after cooking the beef to avoid a greasy sauce.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge and reheated in the oven for best texture.
