Description
This Caramel-Pecan Monkey Bread is a delightfully gooey, pull-apart bread featuring tender biscuit pieces coated in a buttery caramel sauce and crunchy pecans. Perfectly spiced with cinnamon, this sweet and nutty bread is ideal for brunch gatherings or festive holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
Bread
- 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough, quartered
Caramel Sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Additional Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan thoroughly to ensure the monkey bread doesn’t stick.
- Mix Dough with Cinnamon and Pecans: In a large bowl, toss the quartered biscuit dough pieces with the cinnamon and chopped pecans so each piece is evenly coated with spice and nuts.
- Layer Dough in Pan: Arrange the coated biscuit dough pieces evenly in the prepared bundt pan, creating a layered mound of dough, pecans, and cinnamon.
- Prepare and Pour Caramel Sauce: Combine the melted butter and brown sugar in a separate bowl, mixing until smooth. Pour this caramel mixture evenly over the layered biscuit pieces in the pan, allowing it to seep through.
- Bake the Monkey Bread: Place the bundt pan on a baking sheet to catch any drips. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread is cooked through.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the pan from the oven and let the monkey bread cool for about 10 minutes. Then, carefully invert the pan onto a serving plate to release the caramel-pecan bread. Serve warm and enjoy pulling apart the gooey pieces.
Notes
- To catch any caramel drips during baking, place the bundt pan on a baking sheet.
- Allow the bread to cool slightly before inverting to prevent the sauce from running too much.
- This bread is best served warm but can be reheated gently.
- You can substitute pecans with walnuts or other nuts if preferred.
