Ingredients
Beef Tenderloin Tips
- 700 g beef tenderloin tips, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
Zip Sauce
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the beef dry: Use paper towels to thoroughly dry the beef tenderloin tips to ensure proper searing and browning during cooking.
- Season the beef: Sprinkle the beef evenly with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika to infuse it with flavor.
- Heat the skillet: Place a large skillet over high heat and add the olive oil, allowing it to get hot enough for searing.
- Sear the beef: Add the beef tips in a single layer to avoid overcrowding. Sear for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Add butter and garlic: During the last minute of cooking, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet to enhance the flavor and aroma.
- Rest the beef: Transfer the seared beef to a plate and let it rest to retain juices.
- Make the zip sauce: Reduce heat to low. In the same skillet, add the butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, dried parsley, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Stir continuously until the butter melts and the sauce is smooth.
- Combine beef and sauce: Return the beef tips to the skillet and toss thoroughly in the zip sauce to coat evenly.
- Serve immediately: Plate the beef tenderloin tips with your choice of sides such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or rice for a complete meal.
Notes
- Avoid overcrowding the skillet to ensure the beef tips sear properly rather than steam.
- Cook beef to medium-rare or medium to maintain tenderness and juiciness, avoiding overcooking.
- Optional: Add sliced mushrooms or onions to the skillet along with the beef for added flavor and texture.
