Ingredients
Beef and Vegetables
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
Sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup beef broth
Other
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and beef broth until smooth. Set aside.
- Cook the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until browned on all sides. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
- Cook the Green Beans: In the same skillet, add the trimmed green beans and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until tender-crisp, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Add Aromatics: Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger with the green beans, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Combine Beef and Sauce: Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and green beans mixture.
- Thicken the Sauce: Stir continuously and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce has thickened and evenly coats the beef and vegetables.
- Finish and Serve: Drizzle the stir-fry with sesame oil for added flavor. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
