Description
Light, tender, and full of flavor — these Turkey Meatballs with Tomato Sauce are a lean, healthy take on an Italian classic, perfect for a nutritious dinner that is both satisfying and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
Meatballs
- 1 lb ground turkey
 - ½ cup breadcrumbs
 - ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
 - 1 large egg
 - 1 tsp Italian seasoning
 - Salt and pepper to taste

Tomato Sauce
- 2 cups marinara sauce

Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 °F (200 °C) to prepare for baking the meatballs.
 - Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
 - Shape Meatballs: Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs using your hands or a scoop, ensuring uniform size for even cooking. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
 - Bake Meatballs: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until they are browned and cooked through.
 - Simmer in Sauce: Transfer the baked meatballs to a saucepan and add the marinara sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the meatballs to absorb some of the sauce.
 - Serve: Serve the turkey meatballs hot over your favorite pasta, in submarine sandwiches, or with zucchini noodles for a low-carb option.

Notes
- Serve over pasta, in subs, or with zoodles for variation.
 - Freeze cooked meatballs for up to 3 months; reheat thoroughly before serving.
