Description

Sticky Beef Noodles is a flavor-packed Asian-inspired stir-fry made with tender beef, crisp vegetables, and noodles tossed in a sweet and savory sauce. It’s an easy, satisfying dinner that’s perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

For the Beef:

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

For the Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

For the Noodles and Vegetables:

  • 8 oz egg noodles (or preferred noodles)
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup snap peas or green beans
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes. This will help tenderize the beef and infuse it with flavor.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together sauce ingredients and set aside. Mixing the sauce beforehand will make the cooking process smoother.
  3. Cook noodles as per package instructions, drain, and set aside. Ensure the noodles are cooked al dente for the perfect texture.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. A hot pan is essential for a good stir-fry.
  5. Add marinated beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned. Cooking quickly over high heat will keep the beef tender.
  6. Add bell pepper, onion, and snap peas. Stir-fry for another 2–3 minutes. Keep the vegetables crisp for texture.
  7. Add cooked noodles and sauce to the skillet. Toss everything to coat evenly. Make sure everything is well coated with the delicious sauce.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot. The garnishes add extra flavor and a nice finish to the dish.

Notes

  • Slice beef thin and against the grain for tenderness.
  • Adjust sweetness or saltiness in the sauce to your taste.
  • Double the sauce if you prefer extra sticky noodles.
