- 1 pound ground beef or chicken
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables

- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom or chicken soup
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag frozen tater tots
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or chicken with diced onion until the meat is fully browned and the onion is softened. Season with salt and pepper, then drain off any excess fat.
- Layer Meat in Crock Pot: Spread the cooked meat and onion mixture evenly in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add Vegetables, Soup, and Cheese: Layer the frozen mixed vegetables on top of the meat, pour the can of cream of mushroom or chicken soup evenly over the vegetables, then sprinkle 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese across the top.
- Top with Tater Tots: Evenly arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese and soup layer.
- Cook the Casserole: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is bubbling.
