Description

Ingredients

Pizza Base

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: 1–2 cloves garlic, minced

Cheese Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced

Vegetables & Herbs

  • 23 Roma tomatoes or cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves

Finishing Touches

  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze (store-bought or homemade)
  • Salt & pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Lightly grease a sheet pan with olive oil to prevent sticking and to help the crust crisp up evenly.
  2. Stretch and Oil Dough: Stretch the pizza dough to fit the size of your sheet pan. Once ready, brush the surface of the dough with olive oil and sprinkle minced garlic evenly over it if desired for added flavor.
  3. Add Cheese and Tomatoes: Evenly distribute the shredded mozzarella over the dough, then layer sliced fresh mozzarella on top. Follow by arranging the sliced Roma or cherry tomatoes over the cheeses.
  4. Season: Lightly season the assembled pizza with salt and pepper to enhance the natural flavors of the ingredients.
  5. Bake the Pizza: Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust turns golden brown and the cheese is bubbling enthusiastically.
  6. Add Balsamic Glaze: Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top to add a sweet and tangy contrast.
