Ingredients
- 2 cups crushed chocolate cookies (like Oreos, without filling)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional, for sweetening strawberries)
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix crushed chocolate cookies with melted butter until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8×8-inch pan lined with parchment paper to form the crust. Chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.
- In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, heat the heavy cream until just simmering. Pour over semi-sweet chocolate chips and let sit for 2 minutes.
- Stir until smooth, then add vanilla extract. Let cool slightly.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the chilled crust and spread evenly.
- Arrange sliced strawberries over the chocolate layer. If desired, sprinkle with sugar for extra sweetness.
- Optional: Melt white chocolate chips and drizzle over the top for decoration.
- Chill the bars in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or until set.
- Slice into squares and serve cold.
