Description
A refreshing and aromatic iced tea combining black tea, zesty lemon, and subtle vanilla for a sophisticated twist on traditional iced tea. Perfect for hot summer days.
Ingredients
- 4 black tea bags (or 4 teaspoons of loose leaf black tea)
 - 4 cups water
 - 1/4 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
 - 1 lemon, thinly sliced
 - Ice cubes

Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring the 4 cups of water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the black tea bags or loose leaf tea. Let the tea steep for about 5 minutes, or until it reaches your desired strength.
 - After the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags (or strain out the loose leaf tea). Stir in the honey or sugar until fully dissolved. Let the tea cool for a few minutes.
 - Once the tea has cooled slightly, stir in the vanilla extract and add the thinly sliced lemon. Give the tea a gentle stir to combine the flavors.
 - Transfer the tea to the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 1-2 hours, or until it is cold.
 - Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled lemon vanilla black tea over the ice. Garnish with additional lemon slices or a sprig of mint, if desired.

Notes
- Sweeten to your taste, adjusting the amount of honey or sugar.
 - For extra flavor, add fresh mint or basil leaves while the tea is cooling.
 - This tea can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
 - For a lower-calorie version, substitute honey with a sugar substitute or stevia.
