Savory and tender Korean beef bulgogi marinated in soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil. A quick, flavorful dish perfect for weeknight dinners
Ingredients

1 lb thinly sliced beef ribeye (or sirloin)

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tbsp brown sugar
 - 
1 tbsp honey
 - 
2 tbsp sesame oil
 - 
3 garlic cloves, minced
 - 
1 small onion, thinly sliced
 - 
2 green onions, chopped
 - 
1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
 - 
1 tbsp rice vinegar
 - 
1 tbsp sesame seeds
 - 
½ tsp black pepper
 - 1 small pear or apple, grated (optional, for tenderizing)
 
Instructions

In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and black pepper.

Stir in grated pear/apple (if using).
 - 
Add beef slices, onion, and green onions; mix well to coat.
 - 
Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavor).
 - 
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
 - 
Cook beef in batches until browned and cooked through (about 3–5 minutes).
 - 
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve hot with steamed rice or lettuce wraps.

For authentic bulgogi, use thinly shaved ribeye.
