Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Rice or vegetables, for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until it thickens slightly and becomes syrupy.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, spooning the sauce over the chicken, until the chicken is glazed and heated through.
  6. Remove the chicken from the skillet and place it on a serving plate. Garnish with fresh parsley.
  7. Serve the Honey Garlic Chicken over rice or alongside vegetables for a complete meal.
