Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Chopped parsley or green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook chicken breasts for 6–7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low and add minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Stir to combine and simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  6. If using, mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl to make a slurry. Add to the sauce and stir until slightly thickened.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce. Simmer for another 2 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions and serve warm.

Notes

  • Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally for quicker cooking if they are thick.
  • This dish goes great with steamed rice, noodles, or stir-fried vegetables.
