Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the beef is browned and fully cooked.
- Drain any excess fat from the beef, if necessary. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
- Add the dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
