Description

Crispy pan-fried potstickers filled with a flavorful ginger sesame ground chicken mixture, paired with a sweet chili pomegranate dipping sauce. Ingredients

Filling:

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Dipping Sauce:

  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate juice
  • 1 tsp soy sauce

Other:

  • 24 potsticker wrappers
  • Oil for frying (such as vegetable or canola oil)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Assemble potstickers: Place a potsticker wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about one teaspoon of the chicken filling into the center of each wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half to form a half-moon shape and firmly seal the edges by pinching or pleating to ensure the filling is enclosed.
  3. Pan-fry and steam potstickers: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add enough oil to coat the bottom. Arrange the potstickers in the skillet without overlapping and fry them for 2 to 3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown and crispy. Carefully add about ¼ cup of water to the skillet and immediately cover with a lid to steam the potstickers. Let them steam for 4 to 5 minutes or until the water has evaporated and the chicken is fully cooked.
  4. Prepare dipping sauce: While the potstickers cook, mix together the sweet chili sauce, pomegranate juice, and soy sauce in a small bowl until combined.
  5. Serve and garnish: Transfer the cooked potstickers to a serving plate, garnish with sesame seeds if desired, and serve warm alongside the sweet chili pomegranate dipping sauce.

  • If potsticker wrappers are unavailable, wonton wrappers can be used as a substitute.
