Description
Garlic and Herb Sautéed Chicken is a simple and flavorful dish that combines tender chicken breasts with aromatic garlic and fresh herbs. It’s a quick and healthy meal that’s perfect for a busy weeknight or a light dinner option.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, and oregano on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and drizzle with lemon juice (if using). Let the chicken simmer in the garlic and herb sauce for an additional 2–3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately with your choice of sides like roasted vegetables or a simple salad.
Notes
- For extra richness, add a pat of butter to the skillet after cooking the chicken, allowing it to melt into the garlic sauce.
- Can be served with rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta for a more filling meal.
- Feel free to use fresh herbs instead of dried for a more vibrant flavor.
