Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, and oregano on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet and drizzle with lemon juice (if using). Let the chicken simmer in the garlic and herb sauce for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  5. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately with your choice of sides like roasted vegetables or a simple salad.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add a pat of butter to the skillet after cooking the chicken, allowing it to melt into the garlic sauce.
  • Can be served with rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta for a more filling meal.
