Ingredients

Ground Beef Mixture:

  • 1 pound ground beef (85% lean)
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Serving:

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook for 10–12 minutes until golden brown and caramelized.
  2. Stir in garlic and cook 1–2 minutes more.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in Worcestershire, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
  5. Toast hamburger buns.
  6. Assemble sandwiches with beef mixture and shredded cheese.
  7. Garnish with parsley, if desired, and serve hot.
