Description

A creamy, rich cheesecake infused with eggnog, cinnamon, and vanilla, baked on a buttery graham cracker crust and finished with nutmeg dusting — elegant and perfect for Christmas celebrations.

Ingredients

Crust:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 5 tbsp melted butter

Cheesecake Filling:

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup eggnog
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

Topping:

  • Freshly grated nutmeg
  • Whipped cream or sugared cranberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) to prepare for baking the cheesecake.
  2. Prepare Crust: In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the base of a springform pan to create an even crust. Bake the crust for 8 minutes to set, then remove from oven.
  3. Make Filling: Beat softened cream cheese, sugar, and eggs together until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add Flavorings: Mix in eggnog, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated, ensuring a flavorful batter.
  5. Assemble and Bake: Pour the filling over the pre-baked crust, smoothing the top. Bake the cheesecake for 40 to 45 minutes or until the center is slightly jiggly but mostly set.
  6. Cool and Chill: Allow the cheesecake to cool at room temperature. Then chill it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to fully set and develop flavor.
  7. Finish and Serve: Before serving, dust the top of the cheesecake with freshly grated nutmeg. Optionally garnish with whipped cream or sugared cranberries for an elegant holiday touch.

Notes

  • Prevent cracking by baking the cheesecake in a water bath or at a low oven temperature.
  • This recipe can be made in mini tart pans for individual servings, perfect for parties.
  • The flavors of the cheesecake improve after chilling overnight, making it ideal to prepare ahead of time.
