Description

This shortcut garlic bread uses regular sliced sandwich bread, making it quick, budget-friendly, and delicious. Buttery, garlicky, and crisp on the edges, it’s perfect alongside pasta, soup, or salad.


Ingredients

Bread:

  • 8 slices sandwich bread (white or whole wheat)

Garlic Butter:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Mix butter: In a small bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, parsley, and salt until well combined.
  3. Butter bread: Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over one side of each bread slice.
  4. Arrange: Arrange bread slices buttered-side up on the baking sheet.
  5. Add Parmesan: Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top if using.
  6. Bake: Bake 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp on the edges.
