Description
This shortcut garlic bread uses regular sliced sandwich bread, making it quick, budget-friendly, and delicious. Buttery, garlicky, and crisp on the edges, it’s perfect alongside pasta, soup, or salad.
Ingredients
Bread:
- 8 slices sandwich bread (white or whole wheat)
 
Garlic Butter:
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
 - 2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
 - ¼ teaspoon salt
 - 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
 - Mix butter: In a small bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, parsley, and salt until well combined.
 - Butter bread: Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over one side of each bread slice.
 - Arrange: Arrange bread slices buttered-side up on the baking sheet.
 - Add Parmesan: Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top if using.
 - Bake: Bake 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp on the edges.
 - Serve: Serve warm.

- For extra crispness, broil for the last 1–2 minutes (watch closely).
