Ingredients
Chicken
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
Stuffing Mixture
- 1 box Stove Top stuffing mix
Sauce
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375 °F (190 °C) to get it ready for baking the chicken and stuffing.
- Prepare the chicken: Place the 4 boneless chicken breasts evenly in a baking dish, making sure they’re spaced well.
- Make the creamy sauce: In a bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and chicken broth. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Pour this creamy sauce evenly over the chicken breasts in the baking dish.
- Prepare the stuffing: Prepare the Stove Top stuffing according to package directions, typically by mixing the stuffing mix with boiling water and butter. Once ready, spread the prepared stuffing evenly on top of the chicken and sauce in the baking dish.
- Bake until bubbly: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through, hot, and the stuffing is golden and bubbly.
Notes
- For added nutrition and color, serve with steamed green beans or broccoli alongside.
- Make sure the chicken breasts are cooked to an internal temperature of 165 °F (74 °C) for safety.
- To boost flavor, consider seasoning the chicken with garlic powder or paprika before adding the sauce.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently in the oven.
