Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna in water, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or dill for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, drain the canned tuna and break it up into chunks with a fork.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice to the tuna. Stir well to combine and create a creamy dressing that coats the tuna.
  3. Add the finely chopped red onion, celery, and sweet pickle relish (if using). Stir everything together until well combined.
  4. Taste the tuna salad and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper. You can also add more mustard or relish depending on your preference.
  5. Serve immediately on a bed of lettuce, as a sandwich on whole grain bread, in a wrap, or with crackers. Garnish with fresh parsley or dill if desired.
