Description

Sweet and crunchy apple fries coated in cinnamon sugar and air-fried to perfection. A fun, healthier snack or dessert that kids and adults will both love! Serve with caramel sauce or whipped cream for dipping.

Ingredients

Apples:

  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best)

Breadcrumb Coating:

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Others:

  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare Apples: Peel apples (optional) and cut into fry-shaped sticks. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Coating Stations: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with sugar and cinnamon in a third.
  3. Dredge Apples: Dredge apple sticks first in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Spray basket with cooking spray.
  5. Air Frying: Arrange coated apple fries in a single layer. Air fry 6–8 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve: Serve warm with caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, or whipped cream for dipping.

Notes

  • For lighter fries, skip the flour/egg/breadcrumb coating and just toss apples in cinnamon sugar before air frying.
  • Best served immediately for maximum crunch.
  • Try with different apples for varying sweetness and tartness.
