Description

A rich and flavorful creamy steak pasta featuring tender seared steak bites tossed in a luscious garlic Parmesan sauce, perfect for a comforting and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 12 oz pasta

Steak and Sauce

  • 1 lb steak, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about ½ cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  2. Sear Steak: While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Make Cream Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce has thickened slightly, about 3-5 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it.
  5. Toss Pasta and Steak: Add the cooked pasta and seared steak back into the skillet with the sauce. Toss everything together to coat evenly and heat through, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra nutrients and flavor, add fresh spinach or sautéed mushrooms when cooking the garlic.
  • Use any cut of steak you prefer; sirloin or ribeye work best for tenderness.
  • Reserve some pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
  • To reduce richness, substitute half the cream with milk or use a lighter cream.
