Description

Warm and comforting baked oatmeal filled with apples, cinnamon, and oats, this Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal Bake is a cozy, wholesome breakfast that’s perfect for meal prep and a healthy start to your day.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups milk
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Fresh Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples, diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish thoroughly to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt; stir to blend evenly.
  3. Prepare Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, maple syrup or honey, egg, melted butter or coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold them together until just combined. Then, fold in the diced apples to distribute evenly.
  5. Transfer and Bake: Pour the oatmeal mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the oatmeal is set.

Notes

  • Add chopped walnuts or raisins to the mixture for added texture and flavor.
  • Serve warm topped with additional milk, yogurt, or a drizzle of maple syrup for extra indulgence.
