Description
Chicken Alfredo Pasta is a creamy and comforting Italian-American classic made with tender chicken breast, fettuccine pasta, and a rich Parmesan Alfredo sauce. It’s perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 5–7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked. Remove from skillet and slice.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add nutmeg if using, and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Toss cooked pasta in the sauce, then add sliced chicken on top.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
- You can substitute fettuccine with any pasta of your choice.
- For added flavor, cook chicken in butter instead of oil.
