Description

Chicken Alfredo Pasta is a creamy and comforting Italian-American classic made with tender chicken breast, fettuccine pasta, and a rich Parmesan Alfredo sauce. It’s perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 5–7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked. Remove from skillet and slice.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Add nutmeg if using, and adjust seasoning to taste.
  7. Toss cooked pasta in the sauce, then add sliced chicken on top.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
  • You can substitute fettuccine with any pasta of your choice.
  • For added flavor, cook chicken in butter instead of oil.
