Description

A delicious fusion of creamy chicken Alfredo and crispy garlic bread. This indulgent dish features buttery garlic bread topped with rich chicken Alfredo, making it the ultimate comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 loaf of French bread or baguette
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C). Remove from the pan, let rest, and slice into strips or cubes.
  2. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add heavy cream, bring to a simmer, then add Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. Stir until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the sauce and stir to combine. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the French bread or baguette in half lengthwise. Mix softened butter, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, parsley, and salt in a bowl. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the bread.
  4. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Once the garlic bread is ready, remove from the oven. Spoon the creamy chicken Alfredo mixture onto the top of the garlic bread. Optionally, sprinkle with extra Parmesan and fresh parsley for garnish.
  6. Serve immediately by cutting the bread into individual pieces.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to the Alfredo sauce.
  • For an extra cheesy version, add mozzarella or cheddar cheese on top of the garlic bread before baking.
  • To make a vegetarian version, substitute the chicken with sautéed mushrooms or roasted vegetables.
  • For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free bread or serve the Alfredo with pasta instead.
