Ingredients
Ground Beef Mixture:
- 1.5 pounds lean ground beef
 - 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
 - 1 yellow onion, chopped
 - 1 ounce taco seasoning mix
 
Biscuit Dough:
- 2 ½ cups biscuit mix (like Bisquick)
 - 1 cup water
 - Cooking spray (like Pam)
 
Creamy Sauce:
- 1/2 cup sour cream
 - 1/2 cup mayonnaise
 - 4 ounces diced green chiles, drained
 - 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, fiesta blend, shredded (divided)
 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
 - 1/2 cup salsa (mild)
 
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
 - Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned. Add bell pepper, onion, and taco seasoning. Cook until vegetables are tender.
 - Prepare Biscuit Dough: In a bowl, mix biscuit mix, water, and garlic powder.
 - Assemble: Spread beef mixture in the baking dish. Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, and green chiles. Spread over beef. Drop spoonfuls of biscuit dough on top. Sprinkle with cheese.
 - Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
 - Serve: Let cool slightly and serve with salsa.
