Description

Looking for a delicious and easy-to-make snack? Try Cheesy Parmesan Mozzarella Bites! These golden, crispy bites are filled with gooey mozzarella cheese and coated in a savory Parmesan crust. Perfect as an appetizer, party snack, or side dish, they’re a hit with kids and adults alike!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a bowl, mix together the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.

  • Using your hands, form the cheese mixture into small, bite-sized balls (about 1 inch in diameter). You may need to slightly press them together to keep them from falling apart.

  • In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.

  • In another bowl, beat the egg.

  • Place the breadcrumbs in a third shallow bowl.

  • Dip each cheese ball into the flour mixture, then the egg, and finally coat them with breadcrumbs. Make sure each bite is well-coated.

  • Place the coated cheese balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For an extra crispy texture, try air frying them at 375°F for 8-10 minutes.

  • You can make these ahead of time and freeze them before baking. Just bake straight from the freezer for about 15-18 minutes.

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the breadcrumb mixture.
