Description
Soft, pillowy naan brushed with melted garlic butter—perfect for scooping up curries, serving with grilled meats, or enjoying as a warm snack straight from the pan.
Ingredients
For the Dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
 - 2 teaspoons sugar
 - 1 teaspoon salt
 - ½ teaspoon baking powder
 - ½ teaspoon baking soda
 - ½ cup plain yogurt
 - ¼ cup warm milk
 - 2 tablespoons oil or melted butter

For the Garlic Butter:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
 - 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Stir in yogurt, warm milk, and oil until dough comes together. Knead on a floured surface for 5–6 minutes until smooth.
 - Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and rest for 1 hour.
 - Divide dough into 6–8 equal balls. Roll each out into an oval or round shape.
 - Heat a cast-iron skillet or nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Cook each naan for 1–2 minutes per side until bubbly and golden spots form.
 - Mix melted butter with garlic and cilantro. Brush over hot naan before serving.

Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle naan with nigella seeds or sesame seeds before cooking.
 - Can be made with whole wheat flour for a heartier version.
 - Store leftovers in foil and reheat in the oven or skillet.
