Description

Ingredients

    Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Filling:

  • 1 cup broccoli florets, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Toothpicks (for securing)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Slice a pocket into each chicken breast, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  4. Stuff the broccoli cheese mixture into each chicken breast and secure with toothpicks.
  5. Season the outside of the chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  6. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes, remove toothpicks, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use steamed or microwaved broccoli for a softer texture.
  • Swap cheddar for mozzarella or Swiss cheese if preferred.
  • Secure the filling well to prevent cheese from leaking out.
