Description

A deconstructed burger bowl inspired by the classic Big Mac. Juicy ground beef, crisp lettuce, cheddar cheese, pickles, and a creamy “special sauce” dressing — all the flavor without the bun!

Ingredients

For the Salad:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 6 cups chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds (optional garnish)

For the Big Mac Sauce Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp dill pickle relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Make the Big Mac Sauce Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, vinegar, and smoked paprika until creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  3. Assemble the Salads: In bowls, start with a bed of lettuce, then top with ground beef, cheddar cheese, pickles, onions, and tomatoes if using.
  4. Drizzle with Dressing: Generously drizzle the salads with Big Mac sauce dressing.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with sesame seeds for an authentic “burger bun” touch. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Great for meal prep — store beef, lettuce, and dressing separately and assemble before eating.
  • Make it keto/low-carb by using sugar-free ketchup.
  • Add avocado slices for extra creaminess.
