Description
Beef and Rotini in Garlic Parmesan Sauce is a rich, creamy pasta dish with savory beef, spiral rotini pasta, and a flavorful garlic Parmesan sauce. It’s an indulgent, quick meal perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 oz rotini pasta (or any pasta of your choice)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth (or beef broth)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Additional grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook rotini pasta according to package instructions (9-11 minutes), until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned (6-8 minutes). Drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and sauté for 1 minute. Pour in chicken broth, heavy cream, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir and bring to a simmer. Let cook for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, cooking for 2-3 minutes until the sauce becomes creamy. Add reserved pasta water if needed to adjust the consistency.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or more Parmesan as needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and extra grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, use plant-based ground beef or tofu in place of the meat.
- For extra creaminess, add cream cheese or mascarpone cheese to the sauce along with the Parmesan.
- Add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers to the sauce for added flavor and nutrition.
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or a chopped jalapeño to the sauce.
