Description

Beef and Rotini in Garlic Parmesan Sauce is a rich, creamy pasta dish with savory beef, spiral rotini pasta, and a flavorful garlic Parmesan sauce. It’s an indulgent, quick meal perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz rotini pasta (or any pasta of your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or beef broth)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Additional grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook rotini pasta according to package instructions (9-11 minutes), until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned (6-8 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and sauté for 1 minute. Pour in chicken broth, heavy cream, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir and bring to a simmer. Let cook for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, cooking for 2-3 minutes until the sauce becomes creamy. Add reserved pasta water if needed to adjust the consistency.
  5. Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or more Parmesan as needed.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and extra grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, use plant-based ground beef or tofu in place of the meat.
  • For extra creaminess, add cream cheese or mascarpone cheese to the sauce along with the Parmesan.
  • Add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers to the sauce for added flavor and nutrition.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or a chopped jalapeño to the sauce.
