Description

A soft, sweet bread swirled with a cinnamon-sugar filling.


Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Filling:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat to 350°F. Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter, sugar, and egg: Cream together the butter, sugar, and egg. Mix in the buttermilk.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  4. Layer batter and filling: Pour half of the batter into the pan, sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then add the remaining batter. Swirl the layers together.
  5. Bake: Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
