Description
A soft, sweet bread swirled with a cinnamon-sugar filling.
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
Filling:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat to 350°F. Grease a loaf pan.
- Cream butter, sugar, and egg: Cream together the butter, sugar, and egg. Mix in the buttermilk.
- Add dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Layer batter and filling: Pour half of the batter into the pan, sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then add the remaining batter. Swirl the layers together.
- Bake: Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
