Ingredients
- 3–4 lb (1.4–1.8 kg) corned beef brisket
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
- 1/4 cup beef broth or water (for the air fryer tray)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the corned beef brisket dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, ground mustard, and thyme.
- Rub the corned beef with olive oil, then generously coat it with the spice mixture, ensuring all sides are covered.
- Place the corned beef in the air fryer basket, fat side up. Add beef broth or water to the bottom of the air fryer tray to help keep the meat moist.
- Air fry for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. The corned beef should reach an internal temperature of 190°F (88°C) for tender, pull-apart meat.
- Once the corned beef is cooked, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute throughout the meat.
- Slice thinly against the grain and serve.
Notes
-
For an extra crispy crust, you can increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) during the last 5-10 minutes of cooking.
-
If your corned beef came with a seasoning packet, feel free to use it instead of the spice mix in the recipe.
- Serve with classic sides like cabbage, potatoes, or carrots for a traditional corned beef dinner.
