Description
Sweet, crunchy candied pecans made quickly in the air fryer, perfect for gifting, adding to salads, or enjoying as a delicious snack.
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1 egg white
- ¼ cup maple syrup or coconut sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch salt
Instructions
- Prepare the pecan coating: Whisk the egg white in a bowl until frothy, then add the pecan halves, maple syrup (or coconut sugar), cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Toss everything together until the pecans are evenly coated.
- Air fry the pecans: Preheat the air fryer to 300 °F (150 °C). Place the coated pecans in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking and prevent burning.
- Cool before storing: Remove the candied pecans from the air fryer and spread them out to cool completely. Once cooled, store them in an airtight jar to maintain their crunch and freshness.
Notes
- Store candied pecans in an airtight jar for up to 2–3 weeks.
- For a sweet-spicy twist, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the coating mixture before air frying.
