Ingredients
Apples
- 2 large apples (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji)
Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- Spray oil (optional)
Instructions
- Slice Apples: Thinly slice the apples into even ⅛-inch slices using a mandolin slicer if available to ensure uniform thickness for even cooking.
- Season: Lightly spray the apple slices with oil to help crispness and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired for added flavor.
- Arrange in Air Fryer: Lay the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket to ensure each slice cooks evenly and crisps properly.
- Air Fry: Set the air fryer to 300°F (150°C) and cook the apple slices for 12–15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even crisping.
- Cool: Remove the apple chips and let them cool completely to allow them to crispen fully before serving or storing.
Notes
- Thinner apple slices result in crispier chips.
- Store apple chips in an airtight container to maintain freshness for up to 1 week.
- Try adding pumpkin spice for a seasonal fall flavor twist.
